A study class of Marxist classics for CASS cadres was started in Beijing on April 25. CASS President Wang Weiguang attended the class opening ceremony and delivered a speech. CASS Vice-President Wang Jingqing presided over the meeting.

Lasting from April 25 to 29, the class was formed as a venue for top Party cadres within the social sciences to study the important ideas Chinese President Xi Jinping laid out in a series of speeches while improving their ability to analyze and resolve problems using Marxist perspectives and methods. In addition to Xi’s ideas, the class will focus on dialectical materialism, historical materialism and political economy in the Marxist classics.
