The unveiling ceremony of the Chinese Modern History Archive of the Institute of Modern History of CASS took place in Beijing on the 2nd of April. CASS President Wang Weiguang,and CASS Secretary-general Gao Xiang attended the ceremony.
According to the introduction, the Institute of Modern History of CASS collects nearly 200, 000 items of archives, including manuscripts, letters, telegram drafts, chronicles, diaries, memorials, maps, rubbings and contracts. All of these archives belonged to the famous figures in the Chinese modern history. There are also some special archives related to famous historical figures such as Zhang Zhidong, Li Hongzhang and Hu Shi. These archives are unique at home and abroad, as well as possessing significant historical value.
