Dong Hengxun, male, Han nationality, born in January, 1934, is a native of Yuyao, Zhejiang Province and a nonparty member. In 1952, he graduated from the Gezhi High School, Shanghai. In 1956, he graduated from the department of Spanish at Peking University as a bachelor. He is a researcher with the Institute of Foreign Literature at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and PhD student advisor, member of the 8th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. He was the honorary president of the China Association for the Study of American Literature. His academic expertise is American literature.
