Huang Xinchuan, male, Han nationality, born in July, 1928, is a native of Changshu, Jiangsu Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1959, he graduated from the department of philosophy at Peking University as a postgraduate. In 1952, he was wounded in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and was entitled as a revolutionary disabled military man. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor with the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is a consultant to the Religious Society of China and Chinese Association for South China Studies. His academic expertise is Indian philosophy, Buddhism and religious culture.
