Zi Zhongyun, female, Han nationality, born in June, 1930, is a native of Hunan Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1951, she graduated from the department of Western languages at Tsinghua University as a graduate student. She is a researcher and PhD student advisor with the Institute of American Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She is also an executive director of the China Society for People’s Friendship Studies and Pacific Society of China. In 1991, she won the “Young and Mid-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions” Award.
