Tu Jiliang, male, Han nationality, born in April, 1926, is a native of Zunyi, Guizhou Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the department of foreign languages and literature at Zhejiang University, as a bachelor in July, 1948. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor with the Institute of Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also the honorary director of the China Society of Modern Foreign Philosophy. His academic expertise is modern western philosophy. He was awarded the title of “Senior Translator” by the Translators Association of China in 2002. Since 1992, he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
