Xu Pingfang, male, Han nationality, born in October, 1930, is a native of Jinan, Shandong Province and a nonparty member. In July, 1953, he graduated from Peking University as a graduate student. He is a researcher with the Institute of Archeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and PhD student advisor. He is also the president of the Archaeological Society of China. His academic expertise is Chinese archeology.
