Liu Mingjiu, male, Han nationality, born in April, 1934, is a native of Changsha, Hunan Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. He graduated from the department of Spanish at Peking University. He is a researcher with the Institute of Foreign Literature at theChinese Academy of Social Sciences, a professor in the department of foreign literature, Graduate School at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, president and honorary president of the China Society of French Literature Research, a member of the Chinese Writers Association and International PEN Centre.
