Wu Baihui, male, Han nationality, born in September, 1919, is a native of Hong Kong and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1951, he graduated from the department of Indian philosophy at the India International University as a PhD. He is a researcher with the Institute of Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also an executive member of the International Indian philosophy Association. His academic expertise is Indian philosophy, Sanskrit, and Buddhism. In 1984, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Arts and most honorable professor by the India International University. Since 1991 he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
