Zhou Dingyi, male, Han nationality, born in November, 1913, is a native of Yanling, Hunan Province and a member of the Democratic Progressive Party. In July, 1939, he graduated from the department of Chinese at Peking University as a bachelor. He is a researcher with the Institute of Linguistics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His academic expertise is contemporary Chinese study. Since 1991, he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
