Lu Xueyi, male, Han nationality, born in August, 1933, is a native of Wuxi, Jiangsu Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1962, he graduated from the Institute of Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Sciences as a postgraduate student. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor to the Institute of Sociology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Honorary president of the Chinese Sociological Association, Director of the Institute of Rural Sociology. His academic expertise is sociological theory and rural development. In 1986, he won the “Young and Mid-aged Expert for Outstanding Contributions” Award. In 1995, he was awarded the “National Advanced Worker” title.
