Wang Jingyu, male, Han nationality, born in July, 1917, is a native of Qichun, Hubei Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1964, he graduated from the department of economics at Wuhan University as a graduate student. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor with the Institute of Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In 1986, he was elected vice-president of the Chinese Economy History Society. His academic expertise is Chinese contemporary economic history. Since 1991 he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
