Yang Zengwen, male, Han nationality, born in December, 1939, is a native of Jimo, Shandong Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1964, he graduated from the department of history at Peking University as a graduate student. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor with the Institute of World Religion at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Honorary director at the Religious Society of China, Director of the China Yanhuang Culture Research Association. His academic expertise is Chinese Buddhist history and Japanese Buddhist history. Since 1992 he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
