Yang Jikang, female, Han nationality, born in July, 1911, is a native of Beijing and a nonparty member. In 1932, she graduated from the department of politics at Soochow University and became a bachelor of arts. She is a researcher with theInstitute of Foreign Literature at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Honorary director of the Translators Association of China, Editor of the 1^st editorial board of Translations. Her academic expertise is foreign literature studies, and the translation of foreign literature. In 2004, she was awarded the honor of “Senior Translator” by the Translators Association of China.
