Du Rongkun, male, Han nationality, born in March, 1935, is a native of Shanghai and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1957, he graduated from the department of economics at Fudan University as a graduate student. He is a researcher with the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Honorary president of the Han nationality branch of the Chinese Ethnology Institute, consultant to the Chinese Association for Nationality History. His academic expertise is northwest ethnological history, ethnology and China’s national relations. He was awarded the“1995-1996 Excellent Party Member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences”.
