Zhang Changshou, male, Han nationality, born in May, 1929, is a native of Shanghai and a nonparty member. In 1952, he graduated from Peking University as a graduate student. He is a researcher with the Institute of Archeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and PhD student advisor. In 1988, he was elected as the corresponding member to the German Archaeological Institute. His academic expertise is the archeology of the Shang and Zhou dynasties. Since 1991, he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
