Yu Dunkang, male, Han nationality, born in May, 1930, is a native of Hanyang, Hubei Province and a nonparty member. In 1955, he graduated from the department of philosophy at Peking University as a graduate student. He is a researcher and PhD student advisor at the Institute of World Religion of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. His academic expertise is the history of Chinese philosophy. Since 1992, he has enjoyed a special allowance awarded by the State Council.
