Liang Cunxiu (also Liang Zhixue), male, Han nationality, born in July, 1931, is a native of Dingxiang, Shanxi Province and a member of the Communist Party of China. In 1956, he graduated from the department of philosophy at Peking University as a postgraduate. He is a researcher with the Institute of Philosophy at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and PhD student advisor. He was the column editor of World Philosophy and chief editor of the Journal of Dialectics of Nature. His academic expertise is German classical philosophy. Since 1992 he has enjoyed a  special allowance awarded by the State Council.
