·Wang Wei
Wang Wei, born in May 1954, is a native of Changchun, Jilin Province. In February 1982, , he graduated in archeology from the department of history of Jilin University, and was assigned to work in the research center of Xia Shang Zhou Archeology of the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. In August 1997, he was promoted as researcher. In July 1996, he became director of the research center of Xia Shang Zhou Archeology. In 1997, he won the “Young and Mid-aged Expert with Outstanding Contribution” Award. He is currently the vice-president of the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, vice-director of the academic committee of the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, member of the professors’ committee and degree committee of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, dean of the department of archeology of the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and PhD student advisor, vice-director of the editorial committee of the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, and chief editor of the Archeology magazine. He is also a part-time professor of the archeology research center of Peking University, a member of the academic committee and visiting professor inthe frontier archeological research center of Jilin University, director of the academic committee of the archaeometry research center of Zhengzhou University and a visiting professor of the School of Liberal Arts of Xiamen University.
