The 2014 China Business Annual Meeting on Enterprise Competitiveness was held under the theme of “New Things and New Future” on June 14 in Beijing. The event was co-hosted by China Business Journal and the Institute of Industrial Economics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). In his keynote speech, CASS vice president Li Yang pinpointed five major issues facing the Chinese economy: economic slowdown and steady growth; critical adjustments to the urbanization strategy; the turning point of the real estate market; financial turmoil; and local government debt. Entrepreneurs from home and abroad shared their business expertise and discussed the new future of enterprise development at the meeting.
