Through collation and analysis of “Marxist philosophy” disseminated by Chinese intellectuals for more than a hundred years, this book focuses on the translation, understanding, explanation and expression of Marxist philosophy, and the different theoretical forms based on these. Five theoretical forms of social evolution, materialist conception of history, dialectical materialism and historical materialism, humanitarianism, and practical materialism are discussed in this book. Research questions are mainly about the relationships of Marxist philosophy and evolutionism, evolution and revolution, evolution and stages of social development, materialist conception of history and economic interpretation of history, materialist conception of history and sociology, dialectics and formal logics, dialectical materialism and historical materialism, humanitarianism and historical materialism, etc. According to the research of these questions, this book gives a summary of the research object, main content and essential characteristics of Marxist philosophy, which have supported the interpretation model of materialist conception of history (historical materialism) of Marxist philosophy.
