Description:
An important and one of the most controversial figures in the history of the Communist Party of China, Wang Ming is a key representative of CPC leaders who was guilty of “leaning left”. Even though a definite ruling on Wang Ming’s mistake was given in Resolution on Certain Questions in the History of Our Party Since the Founding of the People's Republic of China, many historical issues that involve him, especially questions about his relationship to the Communist International, have yet to be clarified. Indeed, some of these issues have long been covered up. For this book, the author, who has studied Wang Ming for years, has collected abundant first-hand materials (including various rare archival documents), and visited many of Wang’s descendants and friends. The most precious material used for this book is Chen Shaoyu — A Wang Ming Biography and Memoir, a memoir of Wang Ming covering his later years, compiled by Meng Qingshu, Wang Ming’s wife, and provided to the author by Wang’s son. This collection is invaluable first-hand material as it has never been seen by the public.
