Greek Laskaridis Foundation donates masks to CASS

CASS held an epidemic prevention materials donation reception ceremony in Beijing on Feb. 26. On behalf of CASS, Zhao Qi, secretary general of CASS and head of the CASS epidemic prevention and control work group, accepted 15,000 masks donated by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in Greece.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, Panos Laskaridis, president of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, has donated batches of masks to units including CASS, supporting the Chinese people in their combat against the virus. Zhao expressed sincere gratitude to Greece on behalf of CASS at the ceremony.

Established in 2007, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation is a nonprofit commonweal organization that mainly bolsters research in such fields as Greek culture, arts and oceanic history. It has conducted in-depth and friendly cooperation with CASS.
