Gao Xiang said that China and Cambodia are on good terms with a long history of friendship. This year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries, as well as the “Year of China-Cambodia Friendship.” The two nations should cherish the precious history of friendly cooperation and work together to address future challenges.
The collaboration between CASS and RAC, both influential think tanks and research institutions in their respective countries, is conducive to promoting generations of friendship and people-to-people exchanges, and holds great importance for advancing the implementation of the action plan for building a China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era, Gao Xiang said.
Gao added that CASS is committed to intensifying cooperation with RAC and deepening exchanges on international affairs, economic development, and non-governmental contacts. He suggested holding seminars, encouraging scholar visits, and carrying out joint research to build a cooperation mechanism, thereby achieving fruitful results for both sides.
Sok Touch extended gratitude to the warm reception by CASS and gave an introduction to RAC. He expressed RAC’s anticipation of closer exchanges with CASS to continuously drive the China-Cambodia comprehensive strategic partnership forward.
